The Old Folks Home

Finally, dry and sunny here today. Not really warm but hey, it's December and this is Missouri.

I would say a good percentage of people around us heat with either wood or pellet. Some heat with LP along with wood and the Amish....well, wood, lots and lots of wood.

True, there are cleaner ways to produce heat but even the production of electricity if you heat with that, is producing pollution by its very manufacturing.

What's the solution? Let's all move where it's WARM! YaY!

But then I have to admit. I love cross country skiing.

We cross country ski here using our trails....many of which have dead fall laying over them at the moment that we have to clear.. DH is better at it than I am. Me it's ski.....thump.....pause, pick myself up, brush off snow...ski another 20 feet.....thump....laugh....pick myself up......ski 15 feet, encounter a small hill. Make it half way down......thump.....pick myself up.....still laughing....find my ski....get my ski on....DH is back at the house, warming himself up by the fire.....I'm picking myself up again, finally kick off the skis and walk back to the house.

I love cross country skiing....never claimed to be good at it....just love it.

Warm, but then it gets too hot! Example, Florida. Plus the population there keeps growing.
