The Old Folks Home

Only one leaks, cause it has a tube. But ar least it keeps the pressure from building up.
I had tubes during the summer of the fourth grade. I had bad adenoids that caused ear infections and deafness

I wonder if this will change when more of the Boomers are older

But we are! I'm one of the younger boomers, and I'm 66. I think the boom was over a couple of years after I was born (1953). I would certainly not like to be considered "elderly," although I confess to feeling that way some days. Like after PT today, ouch!

One of my kindergarteners (many years ago when I taught) got the surgery to put tubes in his ears. I remember him coming to me, tugging at my dress, "What's that sound?"

It was the birds outdoors. It was all new to him! That story still makes me tear up a bit. The birdsong! No memory of ever hearing it before!

My daughter had to have it done when she was like 6 or 7 hers where so bad
nothing I could do to help the pain it was causing
I was awake when he put the tube in my ear. My older son had ear tubes , but they had to put him under.
