I put new batteries in the game camera last night, didn't set the trap but it is in the box. Camera worked fine even though it was 7°F so I guess it just doesn't like batteries with 30%+ power left.

Well cr@p. Lots of videos with rats all night. One seems to have a light streak on its left flank. A couple of other videos with 2 rats at the same time and neither has that light streak. So while I've done in 3 rats, at best that was half the population. These are all full grown as well.

Rats reproduce quickly too

False Alarm. The hen that Dh said was broody, squawked, and pecked him when he tried to get near the nest, so he figured she was broody, IS NOT. Dd went out, and she was off the nest. Dd collected the eggs, no problem. A few of my hens know Dh is not suppose to be in the coop, messing with them, or the eggs. They don't like him, and don't like when he oversteps his boundaries.

For anyone wanting to join the Easter HAL, I made a set date table. In the past, the goal was to hatch on the Saturday before Easter. This Year Easter is 4-12-2020, so the hatch date goal is 4-11-2020.

There was a post by @casportpony about the EHAL starting soon. It looks like I have been fired as an helper this year since I was not contacted about it...even though I have contacted both Kelly and Nifty about it.

took me and the Son bad I had not paid enough attention had a bucket leak from one nipple floor got wet though I cleaned it good well had little food balls maybe plus poop anyway clean silkie now
