The Old Folks Home

Actually Iowa and Pennsylvania. I think 1 in Iowa, a Tyson Pork processing plant and 4 processors in Pennsylvania. They say in the article that I read that it's just a very small fraction of the overall meat processors in the US.

Riiiiight. And I just saw them advertise an Acme ventilator on a Bugs Bunny cartoon for $19.95.

OK old folks, I need some suggestions. I know this is piddly all things considered but the delis at the grocery stores are closed. I buy freshly cut meats, not prepacked preservative ladened meat. That removes my regular daily lunch selection.

One can only eat PB&J and tuna sandwiches so many times a week. What do you all eat for lunch??
We bought a three pack of lunch meat from costco...it is pretty good! Today I made grilled ham and smoked provolone sandwich for lunch

A Costco sized package would feed a person for a LONG time, they don't do anything small.
The date on the package is use or freeze by sometime in July. We only open one at a time so we should be good. There are three of us here and sometimes DD feeds her friends

The stem is bent a bit in the wind! We had some really hefty gusts today.

What sort of meat is in those packages? One "issue" is I don't do nitrates/nitrites since they give me migraines. I think most cold cuts have that "color preserver".

Plus most have enough sodium in them to pickle a moose.....

Better off sticking with what you know when it comes to seasonings and additives.
