The Old Folks Home

I can tell that there are a lot of ladies here who are not having a good day. Hugs, ladies, :hugs things will get better.

In the mean time all males of the species better cross their legs and low crawl to the nearest exit.....fast!

DH took a picture of my little garden today

The only thing up right now are my onions and turnips. I did check the peas and they are germinating. Everything is just so dry.

The nondescript chunk of concrete in the upper left hand corner of the garden we finally figured out, was a cap to a cistern. Have no idea where it came from. Was here when we bought the place, sitting in the front yard like it belonged there and didn't. DH pulled it around to the side yard where it resides to this day. Our cat likes to lay on it so it stays there.

Man I wish my beets would come up.......

It will be a nice Garden!

Will be a nice garden.. Do you plan on raised beds ?

I've got several planters right now that aren't in the picture.

The plan was to build them this year out of steel siding pieces we have left over from residing the back of the house. We needed to get pressure treated wood for the project and the lockdown happened so it's on hold for next year. Don't know if I'll put them where the garden is but that is really an ideal spot. The top of the garden where the covers are ontop of the transplants is facing south, east is to the left. There is sunshine on it until about 4pm when the sun tracks to the west.

There is always more to do!

Dh got a call today, and his job wants him to take 2 tests in the morning. 1 for Covid-19, the other for antibodies. They're just getting all caught up with all the testing, at his job, and are now reviewing cases from back in Jan - Feb. Remember I said that we, and the doctor there, thought it might have been C-19 we had way back then, when we had that horrible, strange flu? I reminded him that it's been at least 2.5 months, since we had that flu, so we would have either recovered, needed to be hospitalized, or died, by now. The C-19 test seemed rather pointless, BUT it's a protocol to get the antibody test done. I'm not sure how long antibodies would remain in the system, at least numerous, or strong enough to be able to get a positive test result for them. Scientists are saying the antibodies appear to be detectable for quite some time, for many people.

This is why the new research is saying that a lot more people have already had C-19 than previously thought. That's why the stats posted, are a guide, and not the true numbers. The current line of thought, is they would like those that have the antibodies, to donate blood, if they can. A little infusion of those antibodies into someone at high risk, can prevent them from getting it, or at least reduce the symptoms greatly.
