I used a roasting pan with lid to bake crusty no knead bread first time, worked but too thin too hot. Recipe I read mentioned using the insert of a crockpot, I melted off the plastic button handle on the glass lid...Mine is a 6qt from costco-- kirkland brand porcelain dutch oven. It has a metal lid button so it will not melt at 450F in the oven
We still use it in the crock pot but it has a painted pink wood one now

What they used was a porcelain non stick dutch oven. Oldest DD bought me a just plain cast iron dutch oven. Works great and have never had it stick, bread always comes out great. I only use it for bread though and keep it 'seasoned'.
She bought me a bread machine this Christmas I've used it many times, works great and easy. We all prefer the bread baked in the Dutch oven though.
Edit just went and checked the box, I still clean it up and put it back in its box. 5qt Ozark Trail, just a cheap cast iron dutch oven.
