Costco is starting to look better and better is all I can say. I just got 12 small cans of diced ham for I think, 15$ on Amazon which seemed pretty reasonable. Not much is these days. We have a surplus of mixed beans so 5 ounces of ham and a crock pot full of beans with cornbread on the side sounds like dinner to me.

I have to say that with all this CARP going on, we are eating differently. Tonight, Hot dogs and baked beans. I have some banquet meat pies on hand too. We usually don't eat so much processed food but we are back doing it again and saving the meat that is in the freezer.

I'm still making my own bread. I saw last week that King Arthur Flour can be bought directly from the company. They say they have a week or 10 day delay but they are fulfilling all orders.

I have about 30 pounds on hand right now and plan to order from them next week some time.

A friend of ours just emailed us that they ordered Doritos and quesadilla sauce from Amazon. The quesadilla sauce was unharmed but the Doritos were dust.

Earlier we got a shipment from them. DH had ordered Rotella motor oil so he can start doing oil changes on the tractors and cars. There was this HUGE box down by our gate. We saw it and he said, "what did you order anyway?" and I assured him that it wasn't THAT much. We opened the box, at least 2X2 feet square and there were his three gallon jugs of Rotella. No packing, just rattling around in the big old box. We had to laugh and speculate how happy UPS would have been if one of those puppies had split open.

I gots the feelin that Amazon has had better days...Oh well, give me a trillion dollars and every day would be a good day!

I've got such a taste for potato chips now But, I like the Lays brand wavy ones with 50% lower sodium. Haven't been able to find that in weeks. I don't think it's hoarding, I think people don't want low sodium. so stores don't carry it anymore.
