Thanks DD, you are sweet!Cap you are never lazy, you do more than anyone, always building etc. etc.![]()
I totally know what you mean! Way too much waste!@cmom, I can't remember if I said hi to you or not so.
I'm having to revamp my chicken feeders. My feather heads are wasting way too much food. I'm trying my old bucket feeder again with the pvc elbow in it to see how that goes over. I've had a tray sitting under their hanging feeder to see how long it took to fill it up and today there was at least two gallons of feed in it. I spent an hour sifting out coop crud getting it as clean as I could. I keep telling them that their food doesn't grow on trees....They just cluck at me, or crow.....the little ingrates.
I haven't been to a big store since this started. Have a couple times went to one sorta popular (never was before). Weeks ago went there no flour, today still no flour (did pick up a bag of masa, they had three bags) saw they had a sign said see bakery if you want flour. Must be they sell flour weighed from their bakery , didn't check it out we still have plenty.hoarding of flour
Drive through dairy all over here, Chobani yogurt, Suputos, Kraft, giving away tons of dairy products, food banks plus just them. Food banks +++they have milk to give away, bring containers! It would seem more logical then just dumping it in the nearest gutter.
That is right, PAY to have your product thrown out.
I have not seen any local stories other than one about all the craft beer going stale!
Exactly. Why I keep saying our food supply is at risk. They say food is getting thrown away because restaurants are closed. The claim is that the supply chain is working but people are buying more. It is not all hoarders but people actually cooking at home more
Right send it to stores or food banks!I haven't been to a big store since this started. Have a couple times went to one sorta popular (never was before). Doesn't put much of a dent in the dumping though...
I thought the farmer still getting paid as long as they had a contract. Heard they are not, insurance doesn't pay in the event of a emergency/pandemic...
Beer is essential here...

Umm, those people are still eating, they didn't disappear. You can't dump quadzillions of pounds of dairy, meat and fresh produce and say no biggie just cause restaurants closed. The people that ate that didn't just cease to exist. Eating at home now.
I hope you can find some soon!I've got such a taste for potato chips now But, I like the Lays brand wavy ones with 50% lower sodium. Haven't been able to find that in weeks. I don't think it's hoarding, I think people don't want low sodium.so stores don't carry it anymore.
I give mine the grass clippings too!Today I mowed for the first time this year. I have a bagger on the back of my lawn tractor and collected grass clipping for the birds to scratch in. They love it.
