Yes. The rooster is NOT a happy camper. I took him away from his ladies. He's not stupid enough to attack, but I'm getting some stink eye. I won't put up with it for long. On a good note, he has taken his job of watching over his extended family, very seriously. When I go to check on them, he's got his eye on me, watching every move. He gets upset when they fuss.
 
BTW, I use Rubbermaid shelf liner in my brooder boxes (the waffled kind). It provides traction, and cushioning for them, and with the holes, they stay dry. No problem with chicks eating things, like shavings, that they're not ready for.

When I put them in their new coop environment, I put some hay in there. They had a blast strewing it all over.

I use them too. I keep extras and wash them in the washing machine when they get too dirty
