TSC just got more Purina Duck Pellets in the 40# bags for $16.99. Everyone was carrying the 5# bags for about $5.99.

Hopefully the new pullets will get you more pullets to hatch! As much as those little roosters pester the big girls...littles too, you would think the last thing they would want around them is more boys, LOL.
Yeah, I know it doesn't work that way. But I seriously see myself ordering more pullet chicks and fayoumi hens from MMcM hatchery next year.
Turkeys are getting big, chicken size now. Turkeys are so calm and cool, way nicer than chickens.
Chickens I have to do some culling, need to get down to the trio of Naked Neck Giant crosses so I can hatch. Been planning on, saying I'll do it next week for months... Maybe I'll get it done tomorrow(should have last yr...

Sounds like you are the mother duck. When I began walking away, he stayed right behind me. I continued walking around. He kept following. When I stopped, he stopped, when I walked, he walked.
Could be they've hidden a nest somewhere? A couple of weeks ago I found a nest of 13 eggs on top of an open bag of pine shavings.I went from getting between 9-13 eggs a day to 3-6.
Small quantities are always a lot more expensive per pound. 5# bag of oyster shell - $7, 50# bag - $12. Makes no sense.TSC just got more Purina Duck Pellets in the 40# bags for $16.99. Everyone was carrying the 5# bags for about $5.99.
That makes sense!! I wonder if I could have the game bird feed shipped to the store.I suspect one could have them order bigger, more cost effective, bags. I got my oyster shell at the farm and yard store where I get the cat, alpaca and chicken food. They had to get the "real size" bag from one of their other stores. If TSC has big bags of duck pellets on their website I'm sure they can get it to the store for a customer, just wouldn't be as quick as if it is in stock.
