The Old Folks Home

I'm so sorry you had trouble hatching the eggs. I hatched nearly egg they laid. I had a couple customers that wanted all the eggs I would part with. The only turkey eggs that gave me trouble was the bronze x BBB eggs. And that was because the poults were to large for the eggs. I had to start opening the egg the day before they were suppose to hatch. I left the poult in the 1/2 egg shell to finish the yolk and pop out of the shell on it's own when it was ready. But I only got 6/7 to survive.

Makes sense My Bud here local gal in birds. We talked of doing turkey but then did not as have to make a place for them all of that why mess up our chickens ?

I had my main run with 1/2 the coop for mine. The run was 15x50. and I had 7/8 turkey in it together. I'm not sure how others do theirs. But some I know on the turkey threads kept theirs in with their chickens and just gave them their own nests. Some turkey will brood and raise the poults and some never will. But most of us just hatched the eggs with the chicken eggs. But I had two bators and a hatcher going round the clock spring to fall. And sold all I hatched as soon as they hatched or as soon as I listed them.
