That could definitely be! Plus some parents just put their kids in front of a TV or screen to shut them up.
Plus all of the smartphones and everything now. Kids have access to anything and everything and know far more than I ever did, for better or worse. I see toddlers in front of iPads and parents buying them for 2 year olds and 5 year olds etc.
IMO kids don’t need that. I didn’t even get a phone till 8th grade (and my friends had them a couple years before that) and even then, it was one of those Nokia brick ones. No iPhone or even the Motorola Razr/flip phones which were all the rage then lol just a basic one and I think it had Snake on it and that was it

Now, I’m not necessarily saying parents should wait as long as mine did, especially in this day and age, I think maybe 10-13 or something might be good, if they’re responsible, but definitely not 2 and 5
Plus parents don’t seem to pay attention to what their kids are doing these days. Mine didn’t really either. I was glad at the time but now I think parents should.
I see so many young kids online being disrespectful or saying horrible stuff or whatever and I wonder where their parents are and if they know they are behaving in this way. Mine would have flipped their shit if I behaved even half as bad as some of these kids do or treated people the way they do.
Respect and courtesy seems to be gone too.
And on the flip side of that, so many kids and teens are horribly bullied online these days. It’s become extremely prevalent because of the anonymity being online provides. The suicide rates have skyrocketed in recent years, even with young teens and pre teens, and it is so terribly tragic.
If parents were supervising their kids better they could prevent the bullying on both sides.... their kids being the bullies and the other kid being bullied.
Sorry for yet another mega novel.
