Girlie, I'm about to give you a stroke if you don't post pics of those package contents you got...unless they're verboten. I would understand that. And how did the bees work out last year? I missed the entire first-year efforts!

I saw how many posts I had missed and decided I didn't have it in me, so bypassed.

You all know how horrible my hatches have been. Well thank goodness for broodies. I was working hard to build up my lavender AMs and I did. I'm really happy with them too. Thought I'd be smart and sell a few and then though I better not. Besides, they've all become sweethearts, so aint nobody leaving. I have more SPPRs and although I wanted an additional roo only got pullets. hehe...........This year I'm working on more FBCMs and blue AMs. Oh and the bantam chocolate AMs too. I had some nice pullets from the 2 AM pens, but for some stupid reason they decided to get into the dog run and visit. Wasn't a smart thing to do. My fear this year though is that with all the pullets I hatched out last year, I'm hoping it's not once again, the year of the roosters. 50/50 and I'd be happy.

Just waiting around now for the Stockton show and job hunting. Me and the beasts may be living out of my truck come Spring.

How are you, chickadee?? Head east and live in the hinterlands of the central plains of this nation. We have tons of folks overpaid for little effort, so I'm sure we can find you something!

The bees worked out great, and importantly, they're still alive. I did not get any honey yet, but I am patient. I did buy another hive to put together for next year, I have to purchase a package of bees, and I'm hoping to do that soon.

As far as the package goes:


This is the funniest one, to me. I'm thinking this is probably not safe for work, even if I were to put my own face in it.

I also got some fabric for my addiction, and I love the wiener dog one, but so does Sophie. She crammed herself onto it while it was on my shelf. I may have to make her a cat bed out of this because she has clearly claimed it. Cats are jerks, though, so if I did make her a cat bed out of it, she'd probably never use it.



That's about all the news that's fit to print.
 
No idea what she is. I went to the shelter and sat down in the cat room, and she affixed herself to me, and pushed all the other kitties away. I wasn't looking for another cat, but halfway home I turned around and went back for her. I think she might be part siamese just because of the "PROW" sound she makes but other than that... no idea.
