Here she is! Hard to catch her still for a good picture. She is busy!
OMG!!!When Dd #2 was about 4, she was pitching a fit. She was a little head banger. She tossed her head, and banged her tooth into the edge of the table. The tooth broke off. I had to go to a Pediatric Orthodontist. She had to have a crown. I had to take her out of school early one day, to get her to her appointment. I mentioned his name to her teacher. I got an earful. She asked me, if I didn't find it odd that no parents were allowed back with the kids. Yes, I had found that odd. I also found it odd regarding how long it took, from the time the child left, until the child returned.
Come to find out, he would get into too big of a hurry, not give the anesthesia enough time to work, and hurt the kids. He was verbally abusive to the kids to. He had been sued. Between the lawsuits, and word of mouth, he almost went under. He reorganized things, and changed his policies. No parents were allowed back with the kids. He set up a kids' room, with Nintendo games, cartoons, pinball machines, etc. When the kids would come out crying, and traumatized, a nurse would take them into the kids' room, until they appeared to have gotten back to normal. When I found that out, I had a different Pediatric Orthodontist finish the work on her mouth. Dd #2 was much happier with the second one.
There are good dentists out there.
Be safe, Cap.
CHICKA! All I can think of to say is just.....WHOW!.....and,. Try not to think the worse until you hear from your doctor. There are probably different angles to approach treatment if flags like COPD pop up.
I know this is pretty scary. I was told that I would probably have to have a mitral valve replaced at some point in my life after the age of 50. 17 years past that age but so far so good but still, the thought of heart surgery just scares the bejeebers out of me in spite of knowing that it is a fairly routine surgery any more.
Try to relax until you can talk to the doc. Stress isn't helping you one bit. Prayers sent.
chicka, I'm sorry to hear you've been having a rough go of it. Waiting for answers is very stressful. Praying everything goes well for you.
