@sourland I hear ya about all your teeth being the same color. About 10 years ago a late friend who was a dentist made a lower bridge for me. I had a removable partial that I hated so decided to go with a permanent bridge. 4,000 dollars so had better be good, right?
I remember choosing the color and the one I picked was spot on. The doctor agreed. When they got the bridge mounted and handed me a mirror, much to my horror the bridge was about two shades lighter than my own teeth (I had just had them cleaned) and the incisor that they used for an anchor tooth was HUGE. In the spirit of friendship I didn't complain but when I got home and smiled, my husband gasped. I think my response was 'yeah, I know, my thoughts also'.
I don't know what happened but suspect they got the sample colors mixed up. As for the incisor I went to work on it with some fine sand paper and got it down to an acceptable size and shape.
I have about 18,000+ dollars invested in my teeth and have already decided that if any of the uppers go bad, I'll go with an upper plate. I've been told that I have a shallow bone plate in my lower jaw and would probably have to go with implants if I loose a lot of teeth.
Which means I'm stuck with this color mismatched bridge for the of my life...that I paid 4000 dollars for.
I would have thought that they would have noticed when they mounted it. Figured that they said, don't act surprised.Maybe she won't notice it.
