We can smell the smoke in the air here.....

Interesting, it is causing the "sunny skies" here to not be so sunny but there is no odor.

and last evening all 6 pullets squeezed on top of the slant-top nest box to sleep as close to the window as possible!

OR they were trying to get away from the top of the pecking order who wouldn't let them on the "best roosts".

Now, now, bad as they've had it lately we can accept a little of their smoke.

Ventilation is a leading cause of many problems in all kinds of places

At University of Maine at Orono, the sheep were coming down with pnemonia after a barn renovation. The answer was to open the barn. Made it very cold in the winter but the illnesses stopped.

I hate tight barns.

Learning to make a good shelter is a skill.
