I got to get out the tiller and turn up the garden, plant onions and rape. Then get out the pressure washer and start cleaning the house.
Two growing seasons would be nice. We get half the snow here that we used to have in IL but more ice. Our only regret about choosing northeaster Missouri to retire to was that we didn't choose south western Missouri where the winters are milder yet! But of course the tornados are more numerous so there is the trade off.

Morning all you decrepit old folks, and not so decrepit ones also.

Rain here this morning and 38 degrees. Only up to the mid 40s today. Winter definitely being felt. Time to lock down the windows and hunker down till April. I just told Diesel he was going to have to wait for his walk. We love him but are not open to walking in the wind and rain.

Yesterday out in Lancaster, Pa. saw much of the agricultural process. Farmers tilling, harvesting, and spreading manure - all with horse/mule drawn machinery. Beautiful.
We see that here too, Sour. I love driving by an Amish farm and seeing the corn stalks standing up in perfect little Teepees in a field this time of the year.

I got a few things done before it got hot and sweaty out... Kids fed, tops put on two grow out pens for cockerels and the kitchen garden tilled.. Still need to start cleaning off the roof of debris from the oak tree, then pressure wash the house so I can paint. But it's hot out there...

I loved the weather yesterday. It got to I think, 81 then started raining overnight. But it felt really weird outside it being that warm with the trees all loosing their leaves or the leaves ready to fall and the undergrowth thinning out.

At one point I looked around and asked Mother Nature what she had planned for us this winter because the weather felt like a warning yesterday.

Dh is trying to redo his older phone for his mom, and get his own new phone all configured. Let's just say, he's not having fun now. NOW you know the real reason I did not want to get the new phone. Sneaky, huh? I hate setting up, and configuring a new cell phone.
Yep..I know the feeling...just got a new one. 🙄

They caught 4 Bluegills. Pan frying size. Needless to say, they had a blast. The fish are cleaned, and in the freezer now. They'll go again. I'll keep adding to the ones we have, until we get a big mess, then I'll fry them up, make hushpuppies, and cheesy grits to go with it, and we will feast.
It is nice to catch fish!
