Good morning! Making breakfast, packing food for the next two meals, taking care of my ladies and its off to the mall to get my orders done! I ran out of supplies yesterday and so many stores aren't fully stocked. Maybe due to covid? Mail order shipping is a long wait. According to tracking, mail sits in Harrisburg 3-4 days.

Similar day here! I will be venturing out for the weekly shopping trip. So far stores have been stocked ok. Things are a bit out of stock but I can make do

Snow rails? We have seen ice dams but not snow rails. Our roof isn't standing seam. Just standard metal.

I got mine from Alpine Snow Guards. The link is their mounting options for standard (ie NOT standing seam) metal roofs. They are only about 30 miles from me so I could pick them up, no shipping.

The only kind of ice dam I know of is a BAD BAD BAD thing. They are created when snow melts on the roof but then freezes at the edge of the roof. BAD!!! Especially on shingle roofs.

This is my installation. They came unpainted, I found some spray paint that pretty well matched the roof:

Chicken ladder. NO idea why it is called that, maybe because only a chicken would be so wussy as to need stable support on a roof.
