The Old Folks Home

@lovesfarms, Hate to hear that about your sis. Hope she is doing well and on the road to recovery.

It's transitioning from rain to snow here at the moment. I think they are calling for a dusting today and 2 more inches over the weekend before the big freeze hits. Mother nature is a cold hearted witch. Most of the snow melts and then it snows again.

We are still trying to get the damaged fence and posts out of the back yard that went down in the roof avalanche. About half of it is still buried under about a foot of what is now solid ice. I told DH we would probably be able to pull it out about June. :lau

@CapricornFarm. Didn't know that about Polish. I was feeding game bird finisher made by the local farmers co-op. It was something like 24% protein or maybe even higher. I know the starter is 27%. I finally had to switch mine off of it as they were all getting way too fat. The office manager went through their product book and came up with a hog food pellet that had much lower protein levels. My roosters eat that and I finally got the hens to switch over to layer pellets.

They are still fat, sigh. Guess I need to get them out and chase them around the run a few times.
