My "daughter" telemed-ed with her doc in December about the lump in her armpit. Doc told her to take ibuprophen. WTF!?!?! Yeah, she's the one recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I want to strangle that doc...

Time to get a new one I thank my lucky stars daily had cancer in 1985 and has never come back

That is beyond amazing. Not that you want to strangle the Doc but that they are so incompetent.

I think I'd be calling him Dr. Duck. He's a quack. I've never heard of a doctor not wanting to do an in person follow up, when a lump is involved. After examining a lump, they usually order some testing too. Definitely time to upgrade doctors.

My 30 year old sister also had a lump in her arm pit and the Dr treated for a tick bite without testing. She went for a second opinion and was treated for breast cancer... No time to fool around with a lump!

You really have to watch some doctors. Last year I had blisters inside my eyelid that I'd had for close to a year. You couldn't see them by looking at me, but they felt like something was in that eye all the time. First two doctors admitted they didn't know what it was. Number 3 told me it was a form of melanoma (blisters? a melanoma??) and to schedule mohs surgery with him ASAP. I went to doctor #4 who gave me a medicated cream that got rid of it.
