The Old Folks Home

sheesh,, I've already had lunch.. you know 1.5 ounces of alcohol is good to reduce LDL,, the paper that the doctor gave me said so.. I don't drink but I might start. HDL was very low, eat mawr feesh...LDL high, eat more oatmeal (find one without high levels of glyphosates) lowers LDL. Typing takes foreeeeeeevvvvvvverrrrrrrrrr.. if you are on social media (FB, tweeter, etc please share this link, https://gofund.me/f6cce2c2 The VA is setting me up with doctors 60 miles from my house, imaging me driving 60 miles, when it take 15 minutes or more to type a message and my right leg is whompus.

Have you been able to contact them or you legislator ?
I have put a call in to my congressman... When I first moved here I contacted the previous congressman after months of trying to get an appt.. It finally worked, the problem with them now is the insurance company they chose to cover community based health care, it sucks. The closest doctors in their network are 60 miles away. I called the VA after getting my eyes examined about how to get glasses. Normally the VA provides them so I would have to drive to Montgomery VA hospital to get them with my prescription, that is an hour and a half from home..they don't make it easy.

mine was a blood clot that affected the basal ganglia, so I'm poo poo so far. Lipitor definitely isn't helping by making my butt a water canon.. I need all the nutrient I can get from food, and I can only drink so much. What makes me cry is the VA and how they treat vets.

NO NO NO NONO! This is wrong! My friend, you need to demand local care. If they cannot provide you with care within 40 miles of where you live, you can demand local care. Trust me, you have ample reason to get this to happen for you.

My husband was having to travel to Columbia to get his skin cancer surgeries. It was getting hard for me to drive the distance for him which is about 80 miles so we went for local care. He is now under the care of a fantastic Dermatology group in nearby Kirksville and the VA is flipping the bill for his care. He had to call the surgeon general at the Truman VA center in Columbia, and yes, jump through a few hoops but when he told them of our circumstances and my health problems, no problems.

Please try to see if you can't get them to approve care for you nearer to where you live. You shouldn't have to drive 60 miles one way to get care.
