The Old Folks Home

Morning OF. Had a busy day yesterday. Visit from the head PT for evaluation and release from PT. The telehealth conference with my NP from the VA. Everyone is tickled with my progress.

Came across this article via another article that might be of interest to peeps (pun intended) with chickens. Vaccinating peeps for Marek's may cause more harm than good as stated in the article. More of a scientific paper by experts. Have a look then mull it over a while. https://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.1002198

Gotta get out and get some weed eating done in the back 40. Looks like a hay field from all the rain.

Two cups into the day. Might be a third in the near future.

My car started making a new noise yesterday on my way to a chiro appointment. I stopped, canceled the appointment, and came home. I asked DH to drive it to hear the noise, and he said it's the muffler. It'll get louder. Oh goody. Now, is it JUST going to be the muffler, or are there 8 more things going bad on my 14 y/o Subaru? How much longer will it last? The used car market is INSANE right now.

maybe even though it was standing dead not seasoned still water logged
Standing doesn't mean dry ;)

DANG!!!! I even have it on my calendar!!!!!
Happy belated B-Day Micro

I often remind myself and hubby that our continued health is a HUGE blessing.
I hope it stays that way! College roommate's wife sent me an email last Wednesday. He died from a fast acting cancer on Sunday. Haven't seen him since Dad moved back to So. Cal from Oregon a few years ago.

American or British one next time.
Yeah, need one from the winning side ;)

If this is the first time you've had to replace that muffler you've done well!!!!
Mufflers aren't too expensive. Might be looking at wheel bearings the next time you hear a noise. Those aren't so cheap. But a lot cheaper than a new/used car :D

Well I got done doing what needed done out back and 80% of the front to boot. Ran out of gas so stopped and raked up what I had down. Then got to admiring Bandit and how well he's taking care of his 'ladies' at only 19 weeks of age. Twist is already laying, still waiting on the 3 Calico Princess pullets who are a couple of weeks younger.
Here's Bandit and him watching over a couple of his 'gals' as they free range. The sky turned black as I was taking pictures, and the bottom dropped out just after I got in the door.

So true.... emphatically.

Pretty much, doesn't matter what is wrong with your car... fix it and keep it.

I'm pretty sure we've done the muffler at least once. Yup, wheel bearings too.

What really pisses me off about this car is that we've had to replace the clutch twice. All our other stick shifts have gone over 200k miles on the original clutch. Not this one; first one went at 95k, second at 165k. Of course the independent garage we use was surprised it went so fast, but the dealer/repair shop thought it was "average." Yeah, maybe on the stuff you sell...

Still... not bad at all!!!

Sounds like a keeper to me.
