The Old Folks Home

Where'd everybody go lately? I got some fun stuff for a change. Do Blue Jays sunbathe? You decide.
And some eggs.

Baby Jay was still drying off from a bath in Gator's water dish but was enjoying the sun while his feathers dried.

Gonna list them from bottom to top. Henrietta's (BSL). 3 of Mara's eggs (BCM). Two inward leaning eggs from my new Black hens that just started laying. Darker and redder than Mara's eggs. Top left two are from one of the Calico Princesses that just started laying. And top two on the right are from my Cinnamon Queen who also just started laying.

Blessed are the care givers for they are assured a place in heaven.

My favorite saying and I made it up myself after almost 20 years of being my mom and dad's caregiver.

I'm glad that you are feeling better and glad that your husband is being sent to the doctors that he needs to see. I hope they find out what is wrong with him. FAST! Sounds like the poor guy has been through his fair share.

And as CSolis said. Make sure to take care of the care giver. Especially since you are getting over being sick yourself.

Evening all. Another hot day here. I zoned out. Set on the sofa all day and DH and I binge watched My Name Is Earl on Amazon Prime TV. Clipped a few weeds this evening, flew an RC helicopter, split wood this morning.

I know, sounds like a perfect Sunday and I guess it was.

@CSolis, I haven't had a stroke and am known for my Energizer Bunny energy levels but I don't think that even I could keep up with You. Keep up the good work and keep on taking care of yourself.
Thank you for the reminder! Was up extra early this morning for a trip to the ER for hemorhaging, then to the primary Dr where I finally learned the hospital had taken him off all the crohns medicine. I can barely get food in him and he hardly talks anymore. I wasnt sure if his mouth hurt so much or if it was his appetite.
So discovered He has crohns ulcers in the mouth and throat and it hurts to much to eat and talk. He needed to stop the humira for the fevers to come down but since the hospital knew he was having cognitive issues it would have been nice if they would have updated me. The Dr read it in the office notes.
He has a huge weight loss and was already skinny. The hospital didn't treat his mouth even tho he wasn't eating there either. The GI gave an appointment this afternoon so he's back on his meds& lidocaine mouth wash so he can eat. The hospital hadn't written directions about taking the humira again on the discharge papers so I had no idea. Maybe this is a step forward for a change instead of feeling like I'm losing. The Drs say eat anything! Even food that isn't healthy, please just eat!

lovesfarms, I too am sorry you two are having to go through this. They should have been aware, and addressed the mouth issue long ago, before it got so bad. I think I'd be letting his doctor(s) know I was not impressed with their level of care for him, and that they better get on the ball. For the record, they do have IV nutrition they can implement for him, as well. For whatever reason, doctors seem a bit hesitant to prescribe it, but they do have it.
