The Old Folks Home

Holiday smoliday all run together when your retired..
So true!
yeah, I have to check the calendar frequently just to know what day of the week it is, so I know which day to take off and rest.
But if you don't know what day it is, what good is a calendar? :lau I don't mark the days off, so I'm lost.

that's fl sand :)
What they refer to as "soil" there :gig

Generators right in the road, harvesting the energy from passing cars, from their weight and movement, gravity/ kinetic energy. Also same with sidewalks. Harvesting the energy of walking people.
That sounds interesting. I wonder where they are in the concept.

Very true. Ace Hardware was open, grocery stores were open. Farm and Yard not open. Oh well, have to go past it tomorrow on the way to Ace to return something. Might have to go to the plumbing supply place since Ace only had 2 sizes of shutoffs and NEITHER is the right size even though what I need is, I think, the REALLY standard size!

penny, you know me - in spite of myself I had fun. :lau
The best laid plans .....
Sorry you had a good time which ruined your expectation of not having a good time.

I hear that, only now monday is on tuesday
Not this week for me! Saturday was Monday, Sunday was Monday, Monday was Monday. Here's hoping Tuesday is not also Monday.

Further along than I knew first time looking it up since first hearing it yrs ago I didn't know it was even possible, thought it was just a theory. Way they are going about it wasn't what I thought it was when thinking harvesting the energy of gravity. They've made it quite simpler.
I still say it's going to be something new, maybe not even anything to do with gravity. Much better way with one of the others maybe. A breakthrough is coming. Maybe just better cheaper batteries that use less invasive materials still might be electricity
Maybe we'll be lucky and some advanced technology will fall in our lap by a visiting alien :idunno:lol::gig

Can you imagine harvesting the energy from our planet Earth? How many lightning bolts hit us every day?
Looked it up;
"About 100 lightning bolts strike the Earth's surface every second That's about 8 million per day and 3 billion each year."

Let's suck some of that up and use it.

Morning OF..Yup Yet? Mr B. in his 90's been up a while now, I'm rather slow at it. Golly I love this ole man. Always fishin' even now. If not out on his boat early in the morning, then on the dock late in the afternoon.
