The Old Folks Home

That shop vac would not have helped me at the farmers market. The building is uneven with us at the higher end. We aren't allowed in the building until the water is down and then the floors, shelves, walls etc are covered with a thick layer of mud, no water. A squeegee doesn't work because the wood is rough. You don't want to dump much water on the floor because there is no drain, and because the building is uneven you would be sending all your dirty water to the food stand. Believe me, they have enough with fixing their grill and refrigerators. You could be making enemies by doing that! The sump pump is owned by another vendor so you can't traipse through his store to dump it the dirty water. You may not dump your dirty water out the front door, so you go the length of the building for the back door.
And when the dumpsters are full they tell you to take your trash home. Learned the hard way last time when we got black mold on the back of our shelves

I'm not fond of killing things unless I'm protecting myself or my home or family
Well, my thought is this, if they stick to the woods, or pines in your area, that's fine. When they encroach in my chicken area looking for eggs or chicks, then they are subject to the guillotine. There are plenty of field mice out there for him to round up.

You mean like hybrid cars?
No. Generators right in the road, harvesting the energy from passing cars, from their weight and movement, gravity/ kinetic energy. Also same with sidewalks. Harvesting the energy of walking people.
Someday biofuels might be the only option, farms, transportation, everything when fossil fuels cease to exist.
Maybe the experts are wrong maybe not fifty yrs left, maybe there is a double that. Might not happen during our lifetimes but most likely during my kids lifetime's.
