The Old Folks Home

Morning everyone. DH is going to pick up two months worth of feed for me and dog food for the dogs so it will be a SPENDerferous day here and not splendiferous as I'm sure he's going to look at the receipt and ask me how many chickens do I have to feed this much feed to and I'm going to say...All of them! And run like the dickens.

I'm trying a new vender. A local Amish farmer sells ADM feed. The last bag of grower/finisher I got for them from the local MFA to boost their protein while they molt was full of seed worm webs. While I don't mind the extra 'protein' in their feed I shudder to think how long that bag of feed had been around and how much of it's nutritional value was lost.
Run, Forest, Runnnnnnnnn! :lau

Okay, Got 99% of the weed eating finished. The last piece of line (I carry spares in my back pocket) went flinggggggggg just before I finished, but I had taken a big enough bite out of that dog for today. Gotta keep those musckles worked. I feed the chickens, chatted with the road crew that came to pick up trash along the road and reassure them Gator was a big slobber puss. Crew supervisor complimented me on what I had accomplished here, and my chooks. He said he saw a sign down the road that had eggs for $4 a dozen! I can't hardly give mine away, imagine that. He gets around the county quite a bit and told me there's not that many people raising chickens now a day. I'll wait until the supermarket shelves start looking bare then put a sign out, if that happens. In the mean time, egg production has started to drop off here, like OVERNIGHT! Did daylight hours decrease that fast? I'll have some of the younger pullets lay through the winter months though, so no problem about me having yeggs to eat. Now off to DG for some.........danged, what was it I need?

Remember @lovesfarms, give any dog enough chain and it will hang itself and it sounds like these folks are running out the chain at warp speed. Just have faith and wait. Things will work out. I know that is no consolation to you right now and I feel your stress but try to stay calm as you can. I've done the neighbor from hell experience also and got to the point where every time the idiot neighbor did something out of line to me I reported it to the police. They finally told him, one more call about him from me and they were going to arrest him. They had had their bellies full of his behavior and so had I.

Just remember, we have wide shoulders here at the Home. You are free to verbally lean on us whenever needed. :hugs
Thank you! We got the no trespassing signs and I did start looking up home security, checked with home insurance to see which packages give discounts. Leaning towards ADT Blue. Was with DH to a new appointment at the rheumatologist yesterday and today for echo cardiogram/nuclear stress test. Those tests are needed before upcoming procedures requiring anesthesia. His arthritis is too bad to do a regular stress test, I assume many of you are familiar with this. So many appointments take up a lot of time, or maybe I should say they chop up the day and feels like I get little else done! But it is better getting them done then having a loved one never wake up after anesthesia!

Not necessarily wrong? Is Pugsly a puppy? Sometimes they need to go potty and sometimes they just want to get up and party! I used to get up and take them out on leash to the potty spot and tell them, "hurry up!" After about five minutes if they didn't accomplish anything, back in the crate they went. No monkey business. Lights out. They quickly learned not to bother me at night unless they REALLY needed to go.
Puglsy is maybe 7or 8 months now. He has to go back in the crate he crapped in three places in the room .. I pulled the rugs up not wanting them soiled put them back down.
