The Old Folks Home

My 94 year old Mom quit eating and drinking. She suffers from dementia, it's a sad state of living
I'm really sorry to hear that Cap! I lost my dad year before last after he was the care taker of his wife (13 years younger) go downhill from dementia. He just couldn't take the pain, or deal with his own physical problems any more so ended up 'fixing' the problem himself. I know that doesn't help you where you are emotionally right now, but I certainly can understand your pain and loss.

The Kernels are mini Buff Orpingtons , and are cute as can be! Sadly too many of them appear to be cockerels (AGAIN!)
I can't let myself look at chicks because I wouldn't be able to get rid of any that I have now and I can have only 8 pets here. And I may want a puppy guardian sometime so have to regard the sacred chicken math

That's lil ms Corn Puff at 3 - 4 weeks.

Counting the days till the molt is over!
Bonnie my BO looked so bedraggled it wasn't funny, she's at the final stage of growing her tail feathers back in and has started laying once more. Henrietta my BSL, has all her back and saddle feathers back and as beautiful as ever, but her tail looks like she got caught in a trap or something. All the rest had such a mild molt you wouldn't even know if it weren't for the truckload of feathers I've cleaned up. Still cleaning up.
