It was at a feels like temperature of 8° last night. I was very worried about my frizzles. One came in the house, will be bathed today. One went in the barn to cuddle with the other frizzle there. The coop i put the ones i washed yesterday got a small heater in a cage. They were not 100% dry. But one is a rooster and i knew hubby would not be happy about him crowing at 4am.

Also put a small heater in the serama coop. They are so tiny. And i took two grow out birds in a small coop and put them in with the smaller polish last night. More body heat.

Ok, been to town.. two traps, 6 cattle panels, two rolls of chicken wire and 10 t-posts.. Wrecked my budget!

What do you use chicken wire for?

Just chicken wire over top the cattle panels.. It has served me so far.. Except when I leave a door open or something,

Just chicken wire over top the cattle panels.. It has served me so far.. Except when I leave a door open or something,

I used it for the top of runs but it rusts out and breaks. That would be the main drawback. I use welded wire garden fencing.

I don't quite have the budget you do.. And I have to go around 32 feet of cattle panels at the bottom.
