The Old Folks Home

Morning old folks and happy Monday!

Bright and sunny here this morning. It's supposed to be up to 50 here today but we have a winter storm watch in effect here starting tomorrow through Thursday. They are saying 6-13 inches of snow. Since all the snow isn't melted from the New Year's snow storm as of yet that means there will be fresh snow on top of frozen ice and crust. We may see it all melted by April....maybe, sigh.

It's that time of the year where everyone is ready for spring but mother nature is just being cruel at the moment.

@sourland are you the oldest member here at the home?

Can someone please explain what happened here? The tiny copper egg on top was in the nest that my Cinnamon Queens and two EE daughters use to lay eggs. No other hens in there. Top egg is a perfectly round tiny egg. Either someone is cheating me on egg size, or some wild bird took advantage of the nest? Egg next to my index finger is from Corn Puff the bantam BO.

Are there any new layers in there? Looks like a first egg, or possible fart/fairy egg.

Sure looks like a 'fart' egg from a Marans.
