I made one heck of a boo boo... I thought I had two of Mara's eggs. Apparently not! Somebody in the pen with KE is laying dark speckled eggs just like Mara (BCM) I wonder who it is? Won't know a thing for a couple of weeks when the little ones start feathering out. The big yellow powder puff on the left is from one of those two eggs. The 3 on the right are from Turtle Dove and Gen Lee. All look like Bielefelder chicks including the black eyeliner on the females. (TD is half Bielefelder)

Adorable cuteness, @CSolis! I sooo want Bielefelders. Trying to think of how to convince DH that we really *need* 3 more chicks!

Next year for sure, though. Just wishin'....

I love love love my Beilefelder rooster! He's has the greatest personality, and my hen and her daughter lay the absolutely biggest eggs ever. But, remember this... they eat! I mean the Bielefelder and his daugter crosses eat like hogs! They clean up more food in a day than any other group of chooks I have.
