Dh's brand new monitor bit the dust about an hour ago. He's on the phone with Dell. The hoops their putting him through, is ridiculous. Of course, he's all upset, and nervous, so that's not helping any. I hooked his computer to my monitor, to make sure it wasn't his new graphics card. Nope. His graphics card is fine.

Dell mentioned it sounded like impact damage. Um, not since we got it. That's when they decided it might have been damaged in shipping, and it's just now showing up. I have another opinion, but I'll keep it to myself for now.

I'd rather put the money into an efficient AC system, that benefits us, instead of the electric company.

Does FL have any programs that pay you to replace old inefficient machines with new Energy Star models? Could save you some money there.

The A/C guy came today to assess our situation, and give an estimate on a new A/C system. Ours is about 14 years old, give or take.

I heard a strange tapping under the house. It's enclosed except for a few small areas animals have dug out for entrance. So I got my flashlight to take a look see.. WOW, What appears to be a kestrel or like type bird has decided to make a nest up under the house. I certainly don't mind since it will eat mice, rats, squirrels, snakes or whatever critter decides to take up residence under the house. What might they bird be, and I was unaware they would make a nest in an area so low.

Could it be a burrowing owl?

Ya know, Mike suggested that, so I looked them up. Definitely the wrong head and body type for a burrowing owl. I'll call AL Conservation on Mon and see if they have any clues.
