Well afternoon all
Dh didn't really get me anything for my birthday. I really couldn't thing of anything I really want, or need. The new truck covers a lot of birthday, Christmas, and anniversaries, as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, he decided I needed a present.
In anticipation of turning off our internet on the 21st., he bought me a new tablet through our cell phone carrier. This will connect through our cell phone data plan, so I won't be entirely without internet while we switch our FIOS plan around. I wasn't really concerned, since his tablet connects that way, and I can always use his, right? Well, maybe not so much.
He reminded me that when lightening hit, and we were without internet for several days awhile back, Dd #1 and the grands kept hogging his tablet. He and I didn't get to use it very much. He knows I won't let the grands touch my stuff, so he and I will have a tablet we can use, while everyone else hogs his. I told him to make the others use their phones. The only reason I prefer a tablet in that situation is that it's larger, so I can see/read it easier without having to track down my glasses.

The adult Son asked if I had a pillowcase he misplaced his extra. I took him in made one of old cloth sheet.
His Dad and I use flannel sheets. The kid prefer cloth.
