I simply told DH happy fathers day here.

I got DH a card, he always gets me a Mother’s Day card. Usually it comes with a couple big chocolate bars.

When you fail at taking a nap it's time to back up and try harder.

Seems like we either get no rain at all, or way too much rain. The river will be up over some of the trails, at the rate things are going. I can't get coops cleaned, and not easy to keep feed dry while doing chores.

We made it up to him. Bought him supper, and got him a little gift.

I was out watching Quacker-Sparkles lay an egg. She had just laid the egg, when our new water people showed up. Our water quality has been going downhill for some time now. Our other water guy became too hard to get hold of, and when we'd finally get in touch with him, he wouldn't show up at the appointed time.

The new water people said we needed a kit with new valves, washers etc. on the head, AND both filters had to be rebedded with new medium. Hmmm, we've lived here 4 years, so the equipment, and medium are about 3.5 years old, right? Seems too soon to need rebedding new medium. Dh went and checked. We've lived here 6 years already. Where did the time go? Anyway, yes it's overdue to be rebedded with new medium, so it's all being taken care of now. It will be nice to have our water quality back.

They've finished, and we've got almost all the lines flushed, including the hot water tank. Now I'm waiting for more hot water, then I'll run the dishwasher. That will flush that line. I'm about to do some laundry, and that will finish flushing the last line. The one to the coop has already been done. It will be SOOOOOOOO nice to have good water again.
