The Old Folks Home

Went to the cancer center on Wed. I've lost 12 pounds, in one month since my last visit. One of the symptoms/side effects of active cancer is weight loss. I had to reassure everyone that I AM dieting, and losing the weight on purpose. I had to go through it with my doctor. Yes, I try to lose only 10 lbs. a month. One week showing a 5 lb. weight loss, the following week shows no weight loss, but the body catches up, and tightens up to the changes from the weight loss. The following week will show a 5 lb. loss again, then the week after that the body tightens up. No, I don't exercise at all while dieting. It's completely counter-productive. Once the weight is off, I'll start my exercise routine again. It's easier to exercise when you're not lugging around all the excess weight.

Wow, you are doing great!

I need to make an appointment with my ortho doc for an injection into my tennis elbow. This will make the third time in that elbow. First I'm going to try and stop what is making it worse. I've been using a pistol grip hose nozzle for filling watering fountains for the chickens and that is when it hurts the worst. The first time I had been making a fist and knowing the bottoms out of boxes. When I did that it really hurt. I don't remember what cause it the second time but I do remember the shot didn't last as long as the first shot did. I'd like to not have to get that shot as it is not a picnic in the park when the needle goes into the elbow.
Could you just take the nozzle off or get one of those that screws or that turns on with a button so your hand isn't doing anything but holding the hose? We have several different kinds but this one was $6.

I already have some of them. It's easy to use. That will hopefully keep it from getting worse but it will not eliminate the inflammation that is already there. I just came in from using my pressure washer. Fun, not.
