Good morning old folks.

December-January, it was dark in the morning at the bus stop. If they had left it on DST, it would have been... dark in the morning at the bus stop. So.... what is the difference in the dark? Just a number on the clock! SMH.somebody points out to the powers that be that if they choose the 'wrong' mode to keep the time that the northern tier states will have school kids going to school and coming home in the dark.
I go in and pay cash. Always have, always will. When they get rid of cash, I'm screwed...One thing I and my wife do is to pick a pump in eyesight of the cashier in side even though we are using a card at the pump. Our card was hacked twice at a gas station pump when someone altered the pos chip in the pump to capture name and card numbers.
One of our coworkers was making his plans for "Act II" and died before he got there. That was a wake up call to DH and me. We decided we'd retire at 59 1/2 so that we would get an "Act II."We retired a bit early. A friend of ours suffering from Parkinson's disease had retired and within two years his health had really declined. We didn't want to experience the same thing.
Evidently there are not enough educated people running public schools or they could solve their scheduling problems locally and ignore what national politicians think and do.Morning everyone!
@Sally PB The only way to think is that there is some powers that be somewhere that is throwing a wrench in the works as far as abolishing the time change. The Amish school up the road from us appears to adjust their schedule according to the length of daylight hours. Early on they are going by in their pony carts at 10:30 in the morning. Now they are going by at 9:30. No way the public schools are going to do that.
I always glaze my ceramics. It is more permanent and durable. My giant King Gnome has 2 out of 3 pieces fired and glazed. I still need to make him his crown and scepter.Morning everyone!

Sunny day here. Highs in the upper 60s again. I would be happy if it stayed like that the whole winter but I'm not in charge...unfortunately.
@CapricornFarm. I love that gnome. Anxious to see how he turns out when fired and painted. Are you going to glaze him or bisque paint him?
Our local school district did! They let high schoolers sleep another hour in the morning and changed an elementary school to start earlier. Knowing how people are about their kids and their dogs, I imagine that was a contentious decision.Evidently there are not enough educated people running public schools or they could solve their scheduling problems locally and ignore what national politicians think and do.
My shoulders are not that bad yet. My left hip has issues so I may need injections there next.My knees aren't in too bad of shape. The spine, neck and shoulders are shot but the legs going strong. Had my first shoulder injection this spring so yeah, I hear ya.
Now's the time to start planning. Learn something new! Exercising your brain after retirement is as important as keeping your body in motion!
Oh them last two years won't take long. They may seem like forever though.
Those hip injections are a miracle in a syringe. I was to the point of not wanting to walk at all and after the injections in both hips I am almost normal again. My shoulders are not that bad yet. My left hip has issues so I may need injections there next.
Time does go faster now it seems!
Plus there the stay at home mom is nearly the thing of the past and the two career family is the new norm. Getting the kiddos off to school is just a part of the equation. Change the time school starts and you throw a new monkey wrench into the equation.Evidently there are not enough educated people running public schools or they could solve their scheduling problems locally and ignore what national politicians think and do.
