Same with the shoulder injections. It's like pain? What pain! When did I get a new shoulder joint?
Yes. My last one in my left shoulder was over a year ago I think now. Can't remember getting or needing one in the right shoulder yet. I have had them in both knees. After I retired about every 3-4 months I took my mom to knee docs for injections so she could walk. She also got them in her spine. I never saw her mom my grandmother ever stand or walk. She had spinal arthritis so bad I never got to interact with her even once. All memories are of her lying in bed. After she passed my grandfather came and lived with us. From there he got me some White Rock chickens and thus here I am today.

How long did the injection work?
Took about 5 days for it to kick in. That was back in April. Just started having occasional pain with some motions two months ago more or less. So maybe 5 months? Xray showed arthritic changes. Doctor thinks impinged nerve from it as I was getting some bad pain if I tried to reach behind me. Plus I've lost range of motion with it.

Wondered to myself the other day if I should ask for a booster before the winter sets in.

5 months sounds good!

I get an injection for my knee every three to four months. Since I am going to orthopedics, I can get four injections a year in that knee.

Yeah, that is what my Doc told me also. Better yet is that I got a systemic effect from the steroid. Had a month where I was a house cleaning project finishing maniac.:lau
I think that is why my hip feels better when I get a shot in my knee!

Until..they don't work anymore. Worked for my left shoulder for years, then they didn't. Had the surgery. It's been great. No more shots. Now it's my knee..again. . The shots have worked before, praying it works again. Going in next week.
