Sunny but cold this morning. We'll warm up to mid-60s, though.
New Mexico weather... The garden doesn't know if it's coming or going.

Beef stew! That looks so much prettier than mine lol.
I was amazed how pretty it looked lol it’s from a recipe but she made it lolBeef stew! That looks so much prettier than mine lol.
That dessert though, never in a million years could I make that. I'm good at making food, but a horrible baker.
I just cook the beef until tender with onions, then add water, beef bullion, and a small chopped-up cabbage. Let that cook down, then add the carrots and potatoes. If it needs a zip, I'll add a little A-1 and/or horseradish. It's really good, just not as pretty by far!I was amazed how pretty it looked lol it’s from a recipe but she made it lol
And oh the cake was bought LOLwe could never make that either. It’s from a bakery

Oh wow!! That’s awful!! No doctoring up or editing or anything here lol that’s how it really looked! LolFood photography is an art unto itself. Most pictures of "food" are so doctored up as to be inedible. Dyed, ingredients propped up on toothpicks or rocks or marbles, soap suds for bubbles... yeah.
In one of my photography classes in college, we had to photograph food. In black and white. This was in the film and darkroom days. I think nearly everyone got the comment that "the food looks horrible and inedible." Gee, thanks, Curt. How about some direction as to how to photograph food in B&W and make it look good? Can you do it, Mr. Professor?
