The Old Folks Home

I read something on a site that breeds tomatoes and peppers and they say peppers have more vitamin C than tomatoes. I don't remember if that is for all peppers or just some. I know they have peppers that are so hot they should be able to be used to weld metal to metal... Some you have to wear eye and nose protection to grind them to a powder with. You don't dare inhale any of the powder.

These he sold me are twice the size of the others I had.
I would rather give him the money keep the farm around.
Been telling every one about him.
This is for sure. We have lost to many of these type businesses to big box stores. Even plant starting companies that sell stuff that want grow where they are selling it. I saw trays of a dozen corn plants for sale this year for the first time. I think they are looking for a quick dollar more than selling what people can actually benefit from. If we get our greenhouse up and going soon enough I want to sell some good things at our new farmers market come next spring.

That's the place that has peppers so hot they can't be used but by very few brave souls. A tiny pinch for a big pot of chili would be enough for most of us. When I was about 10 years old I went into my grandmothers orange grove and picked her some wild peppers that she would put in a bottle of vinegar and when ready sprinkle it on greens and fresh black eyed peas and such. Being a carefree kid I never thought about wearing gloves and rubbed my sweating eyes with my hands. All she had on hand for the pepper burn was Noxzema. Lesson learned the hard way.

The adult son with us James he like a bit hotter than his dad and I.
Serano and jalapeno is our limit.
Not fond of Serano but do like jalapeno. I've got rack that holds jalapeno that are stuffed with cheese or sausage or whatever else on likes and put on a grill till done. I'm going to get my fill hopefully of those little bombs this summer. I like the flavor of the ghost pepper toned down a lot on the heat. It's unique and different than jalapeno. Back when Taco Bell had Ghost Pepper Grillers I got hooked on those things. Then they discontinued. Someone must have got a hold of something to hot to handle.
