The Old Folks Home

Yep, as you know, I know this pain. I had the left done. Was having some pretty good pain in my right one later, of course. Was in the hospital to go through the fun again, but after my blood work came back, they said, nope. You're two points away from being hospitalized for low potassium. Surgeon wanted me to go home and eat some bananas, take some potassium, then come back in. The Anesthesiologist came to me after and suggested that I take some time taking the potassium and knowing its up before coming back in. Long story short. Now taking horse pills. Every day. Did not go back for surgery. I had gone in for a shot to help until I could go back in. Surgeon gave me some exercises to do and said, you may not need surgery if you do these. WHAT?! It has been doing well. Won't be going back to him if it's needed in the future. 😏
Glad you're done with it all. You will feel better. Keep up some of the exercises. I go into a doorway and stretch my arm all the way up the inside of it, sideways if that makes sense. I do both arms.
I'm still doing the stretches they gave me in PT when I feel things tighten up. I'll have to try the one you do and see if it helps.

The rotator cuff repair hardly bothers me at this point. I get a few catches and clicks and twinges but that is all. It's the biceps repair that is giving me fits. Sometimes it feels like the anchors they put into the bone are just trying to back out of the deal and evict themselves from my bone. Usually when I try to push or pull something and yes, the doctor told me not to do that but as you know sometimes you just forget and do it. When that happens I wind up suffering for a few days with it. They tell me it will get better with time. I sure hope they are right.

I've had low potassium before also. Sometimes mine will just dip for no reason. Doctor said, just a glitch in my kidneys. But when I dropped my electrolytes once during a GI bug they told me the only way to bring it up when it went below normal was by RX Potassium or IV. So yeah, like you I try to eat a lot of high potassium foods.
