The Old Folks Home

This is how I picture myself:

Not so much wearing it but the hilarity of the dress itself.

OK where do I get one of these. I need one.

Keep the stories coming, y'all... you guys are entertaining.

Snow tonight for new england... 2-4 inches predicted up here. Hardly worth mentioning except it'll be the first accumulating (predicted, anyway) snowfall this season.

If I don't hear anything today, I am going to email the person who would be my boss to see what gives. Its been six weeks since my first interview and about a month before I would have to show up there. C'mon people, I can't get things going until I know.nUGH
SCG, my company is not usually as inept as they have been in the last week. It is not the group I work with, it is the people at the main company. They are responsible for building the equipment we have to test and then ship it out to us. They give no thought to how much it affects our ability to deliver on time if they send us crap. There are times when we get a lot of crap and there are times when we get quality stuff. We have too much respect for the "customer" knowing that our product is used by the military so we make sure it works right before we send it out after test. We have a new system that we are getting ready to deliver and they sent us a ____________ sandwich. We are working our way out from underneath but I think this is the first time I have ever seen my boss (who is a really great boss) sit in my office and say over and over again, "I love my job" to convince himself. We all knew that this first system was going to be a goat rope but really what they initially sent us made it impossible to get the job done. We have probably spent more on shipping stuff they forgot to send than I spend on groceries all year.

So... hear anything today? Sorry for the harassment, but you'll be relatively close when I go to visit my parents, so I've got a dog in this fight!

Glad your place isn't usually that inept. We have pockets of really awesome people that I am absolutely proud to work with and for, and then others that make me sit in my office and say over and over again "I love my job"

We lost $32,000 out of one of our fridges overnight (past transgression, not recent) because someone ignored an alarm - that was probably more than the person who gets paid to ignore $32,000 alarms makes in a year.
