The Old Folks Home

I am thinking we may head up the 5 all the way to Portland, down the 84 to Boise then Salt Lake City.

We would then cross back into Nevada and Carson City before heading down the 395 through Bishop and home.
Salt Lake City when? That is only about 45 minutes (give or take) from me!

I was able to get a nice pic of the moon during the eclipse. DH wanted to get up to see it so when one of my nightly hot flashes got me up, we went out to see it and grab a quick shot.

Well let me know for sure. Don't know when you plan on doing this but SCG and I will be down "south" in Kanab 2-7 May. If your plans are to go into Nevada near Vegas, you would be pretty close to Kanab.

Pretty red rock country - just sayin'... (not my photo but this is in that area)

Had to share a few more with the old folks. Forgive me. This graveyard is right across the street from our town library. On my way home from returning some books tonight I decided to stop in, even though it was raining. I was glad I did. It was a very big and very interesting graveyard, but unfortunately, many of the stones were in bad condition.

This one caught my eye: born in 1739, lived 100 years. How odd for those times! Imagine what Mr Gray saw.

This epitaph made me giggle.
