I've been trying to do some catching up. Congratulations to the Oz family! Gryeyes, that is a nice set up. My leg looks like a medium sized shark took a bite out of it, but it's healing nicely, and the pain level is good. I've been watching lots of tv, since I have to keep the stupid thing propped up a lot. I've managed to take care of my chickens, and chicks. DH drives me out to the coop, then helps with any lifting. I have managed to keep up with some of the cooking, and housework too. A friend was doing a hatching project for some kids, so I gave her some of my eggs, and she called today. I have 2 new chicks, and more on the way. I set 4 more eggs today, and put 2 eggs into lockdown too. I am impressed with the digital controller DH put on my LG incubator that I use for lockdown. I don't think I will have the radical temperature fluctuations like before, so I hope it will help increase my hatch rates. DH put a security camera on the brooder, which is in my (former) breakfast nook. We have chick tv. Even one of the cats sits on his desk, and watches them. It's funny.

I had to share this...the $100 grilled cheese! Yes that is 24-carot gold leaf on the egg yolk!

It does look tasty not sure it's worth 100$, though. The mac and cheese also looks good, sans lobster.

Anyone have any awesome weekend plans? Nothing much here except getting my winter tires taken off and my summer ones put on and recovering from a cold that the lovely children gave me.

We will go to a late might Meditteranean restaurant tonight.

Tomorrow I will cook a spinnich mushroom and feta cheese omlette with a side of toasted chiabatta bread and home made strawberry jalepeño jam

I wish the bread was home made but I have not made bread in USA for years.

We frequently make a good crusty Italian loaf in the Philippines
