Wisher--the meds are the same which is why using both at the same time would OD the puppy; Ivermectin is really very cheap. I need to buy stock in these pharmacutical companies. LOL praying the puppy recovers soon and is good health once again.

That was beautifully said! Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.I just want to remind everyone, including myself, what the holiday is about. I have so much to be thankful for, from family and friends, to fresh air and fresh eggs, from baby deer in my backyard to baby boys in my lap, from the will to make choices to the saving Grace of God. I could never name them all, nor could I ever express how blessed I am. I try to keep a thankful heart all year long, because I have learned that a thankful heart is a happy heart and I count that as one of the greatest feelings one can have.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends, I am thankful for you.
That needs an explanation, I think!Hey guys. I am sorry I haven't been on.. I recently went under a coma.........Turkey coma that is!!!!![]()
That needs an explanation, I think!
We spent yesterday visiting with my parents, who live about an hour an a half away. For several years now, we've observed Thanksgiving with them on Saturday. Both of my brothers were there, and we had a good time together. You'd kinda have to know my family to know what that means . . . . let's see if I can give you an idea.
My younger brother is in his mid-forties and brilliant, though not at all conceited about it. He said, "they tell me that something like 98% of the people I meet have less on the ball than I do, and about 50% a lot less. When you consider that some days, I'm not sure how I even manage to get dressed in the morning, that's scary!" He has never married, and getting glimpses of his life through his eyes are entertaining and sometimes poignant. Photography is one of his hobbies; there's an arboretum he visits regularly to take pictures. "There are often wedding shoots going on there," he said. "Last time I was there, there was someone over there taking pictures of a family, over here, someone else taking pictures of a family, over there, someone else. I was like, the only person there without . . . ." *snaps fingers* "I knew I forgot something!"
My older brother isn't quite as quick, though he certainly has his moments. Here's an example of his style:
Big Brother's wife: "So, none of you have middle names?"
Big Brother: "Well, I had a sort of secret middle name, 'Euripides'. As in, "John, you rip-a-dese pants and you're in trouble." ( he was a very klutzy kid).
Ahhhh, family!![]()
I understand that statement completely and on the surface, I agree, but I have realised that family and really close friends are the only ones that can hurt or use me. I can ignore anyone else and never bat an eye. In my line of work, you develop a thick skin, but when it comes to family, they are the only ones who reside beneath it, where I'm vulnerable.Arielle, I figured out a long time ago that there is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to families. There are always the "odd" ones, mean ones, nice ones, etc in a family. None of us are perfect and shouldn't expect family members to be either. You have to celebrate the uniqueness of each person. The only place I draw the line is I refuse to allow someone to hurt me (mentally or physically) and choose to not let anyone use me, other than that most stuff can be overlooked or understood.![]()
