The Old Folks Home

What's the fine for public urination? You may be able to sneak some more "watering" in.

It would evaporate too quickly though.

I thought about that. There is a lot in those posts.

Just cause it's written up for a long coffee break with a nice read

don't mean you have to partake in any of it...not if'n you don't wanna....don't hafta step in the doo doo poo, eh?

Bam Bam...Dude...just lookit the pictures as you scroll down...read only if the pics don't make sense and you wanna know more. Otherwise; scroll, go with the roll, and zip on thru!

Oz...every single time I ever summarize too severely, that's when people get confused and I get accused on all sorts of aspects I never intended. A simple farm name becomes a questionable undertaking that needs an explanation and so it goes...I posted my Storey's Intro because it was a summary to a query...of what we do and why we do it in a published format.

Ron...well at least you seem to have enjoyed it. LOL

I was going to post a set of ten photos from the 24th of a setty white Booted hen rolling golf balls (her eggs) because I finally stopped long enough to catch her in the act but thought that would be overload...she is very cute puffed out like a tea cosy and chinnying her "eggs" into place

There IS a lot going on here - and this WAS a summary of the past few dog daze... Tis SUMMER!

Wisher...my goats (nigerian dwarf dairy) and my sheep (Jacobs) will charge dogs and to me, they are tenacious and blockheaded enough to do a great deal of damage if the dog was just having a friendly sniff and the ruminant considered them an easy mark. Nothing more bully than a sheep or goat that gets the chance to beat up on a dog thing.

Poor dog...but dogs are considered coyotes and for a goat or sheep, get the drop on them the sooner, the better.

I've often looked at one of my more aggressive ewes and thought I should really do a severe front horn trim (she's got four but the sides ones are of no consequence)...her front two are razor points and would be nothing for her to spike a dog or even me for that matter! I know many poll dairy cows for that fact alone...

Rams and big males like bulls demand respect...I only ever give chin scritchees UNDER the chin and from behind a corral panel.

But them goats are block heads and can cause a lot of damage just head butting a dog. Quick and fast and if you were not standing there to watch it unfold...they never let on they just wedgied the dog, ruminant fashion.

Maybe it IS time for pigs to fly off to paradise, eh?

I enjoyed the post also. I finally broke my broody Mallard hen after the eggs she hatched were fully feathered by removing the nest egg

X2! I love ALL your posts BTW! Maybe it's just because I enjoy learning of your successes with living in the north since, although I am in the U.S., my latitude is very close to yours. I enjoy your stories and the pics of all your animals are wonderful. Plz keep posting just the way you are!!!

Hey Ron or Wisher!!! I had trouble getting back onto this thread just now because when I tried my Security software from my ISP blocked me and said that this site had been reported as being harmful!!! Any ideas as to what's up with that? Do I need to report this or will the all seeing moderators read this?
