I love to cook. I love to cook more for crowds.

Before we departed for the Philippines five years ago to start our adoption process, I would have themed parties for up to 150 people and do all the cooking.

I have put out food in massive quantities for South American, Asian, Middle Eastern and Hawaiian themes. The "Luau" had 11 dishes from Kalua Pork to Lomi Lomi Salmon and pinapple upside down cake.

When I first dated Mrs Oz she told me on our first date that she does not cook, would not clean bathrooms, I had to make more money than her and if we were to get to the marriage talks - nothing less than a 2 karat diamond ring.

Cecelia. our cleaner has been with us for 20 years to handle the bathrooms. I took care of the rest.

We usually eat dinner at 8-9pm due to Karin working evenings pretty often. Sometimes it's closer to 10pm before we start eating. (Normally Finns eat very early though. Maybe 6pm. Leads to cranky and hungry tourists when a Finn is travelling abroad.)

Since Mrs Oz and I shacked up together, we have normally eaten dinner by 7pm. Our work always had us getting up early so we hit the sack early. In the days when you could hack directTV we had the east coast feeds so we could watch prime time at 5pm.

In the Phils its pitch black by 6pm. We like to be eating by then. The accumulation of bugs that come to the lights get way to much to have them lit on the lanai much past then. The kids are asleep befor 9pm and we are quick to follow. We do wake up though at 5AM. Our boy has an internal alarm clock that has him up at 4:30 and by 5 he is bored enough to ensure we join him for hugs and tickles.
 
Vehve looks pretty good. I always cook my steaks on the alton browns home made steak cooker. I cant copy paste but there is a youtube video. I think he cooks a porterhouse. It is awesome grilled this way.......we are having possum and armadillo chilli for dinner tonight
