The Old Folks Home

Here she is smiling .. big..at the fair, with all of her fun things she made to enter. They have a special place for these kids to put their hand made projects in. She is always proud.

At a family party a few yrs. back. She loves stuffed animals. She was getting tired. Towards the end of the big Christmas party. I see my son with Spina Bifida in the back ground. Beside someone with the santa hat.

Not a very good selfie of me! But darling of her.

You have a lovely family Cynthia, thank you for sharing your pics.

She is doing better every day. She still has some short term memory problem. We may be able to get her out of rehab by next week! I love miracles. I can't stop hugging her, and telling her I love her. Love that little smile. I think I'll try and find a couple of pictures of her.

I am so glad she is getting back to normal

Great photos!!

Today was dog test day again, both our labs were competing in the open class. Kiusa (the younger one) did pretty well, but had a bit of trouble with marking the fall on one bird, and did not agree to take any handling when she was supposed to be directed over a pond to fetch a bird, and received a 3 as her grade. Vaiva did a bit better, but during a search task, she failed to find one bird, leaving her slightly short from a 1. But both dogs have made advancements since last year, so we're pretty happy. Tomorrow pigeon season starts, and Karin is taking Vaiva to fetch birds for a hunting party.

Here are some pics of Vaiva working. She really has a huge drive. And this is the kind of stuff we have our seagulls in the freezer for, to train for these trials (and real hunting too).

What is the giant bird she is carrying?
That's a young seagull. Fully grown, but not in adult feathering yet. The earlier pic shows her with a crow. They had managed to find some monster seagulls for this test. I saw one that had to have a wingspan of 1.5 meters (5 feet).

*Edit* Actually, I think it was even larger now that I think about it. Maybe 6 feet.
