The Old Folks Home

Well, I guess I missed out. I really wanted that 20,000th post, but I was driving at the time and it wouldn't have been safe. I have this really cool car (a Ford Crown Vic) that has a Toughbook computer mounted on the dash and it gets the internet and BYC anywhere I go. I can watch the goings on, but posting requires pulling over.

AH well, I'll get the 40,000th one ........................ some time next weekend!

Alaskan when we moved I started 3rd.grade in a new school -and the kids used fountain
pens. The desks had a depression on top to hold an ink bottle. This was Chicago maybe 1954 or so. I made a horrific mess of my hands, paper, desk etc. Thankfully I discovered fountain pens that you could buy filled ink cartridges for. Somehow I still managed to have peacock blue ink hands (both of them) by the time I went home everyday. The other kids didn't. Wonder if they had discovered ball points and didn't tell me.

PS Later I discovered ballpoint pens leaked and blobbed when you wrote with them but, by then had darker ink all over my hands. It must have been ME - other kids weren't messy.

All the old ladies have caught vehver fever

Oh, Bama, you are still the number one bad boy of the thread. It's just that since you are not riding your mower for the neighbors (for fear of being sent to ban land) you have not been commanding as much attention. We'll try to do better. Maybe you need to post a couple of recent pics for us to ooooo and ahhhhhh over...... no, wait, nevermind, chicken pics are all we need, just chicken pics from you, my friend. We like having you around too much to risk it.............

Bad deal here. This is live. About 1000 people were gathered in a Baptist church on West Florissant, a street I grew up on. There's a police line in combat gear. It is a major roadway and it is closed to traffic. There are a lot of religious leaders from the area, Rev. Al Sharpton and the parents of the boy killed. They are all pleading for peace and calm. There's a huge crowd that wanted to get into the church but the police blocked them. Just now, the police announced that people needed to disburse or they would be arrested.

The thing that family needs right now is some peace, calm and PRIVACY. let them mourn and worship in peace. Amin.

All BYC ladies haven't caught Vehve fever. I don't mess with married men, or men in a committed relationship PERIOD. I don't even lust after them in my heart - just Nicolas Hoult and he's single.
