Beautiful pics vehve!

Bama talking icecream .. I did meet an icecream I was not very keen on just last week … ‘Emperor Jing Zong’s Exotic Red Bean with Coconut’ it sounded different so I tried it .. yep, it sure was ‘different’. That one is going to sit in the freezer for a very, very long time!

I tried Tofu once; would have preferred to eat the cardboard box it came in!

Even after my 'tough love' approach last night, the gals are still talking to me and I swear it had nothing to do with the fact that I was carrying their breakfast

As much as they carried on like sleeping somewhere else was the end of the world; they survived :) Now to persevere and continue tonight ....

I am on a 4 day break from work. I am not particularly a fan of shopping but I had a pretty good day yesterday. Armed with notepad and pen I walked around one of our biggest shopping centres comparing and pricing the saucepans. I ended up going back to one store 5 times; the young man on the door gave me a smile the first couple of times and then switched to "back again?". I explained that I was doing my homework before purchase. 3 hours of research and walking later I scored myself a couple of bargains; picked up a Bluestone fry pan set for half price and a set of Stanley Rogers saucepans reduced from $399.90 to $120. It was a good feeling to come home and throw out all the old, worn out, mismatched pans and replace them with two beautiful sets. Picked up a roasting dish while I was there :) Oh yeah, threatened the fella's with all sorts of nasties if they put any of them in the dishwasher! lol

That was Day 1. Day 2 was supposed to be lawn mowing and then quality time with the gals; Hhhhm, the weather man got it wrong again! After predicting the occasional shower Saturday and Sunday, I woke up to rain and the updated forecast is rain through until Thursday! Looks like the lawn will be next weekend. Also, a little disappointing that if they are right this time, I am not going to get to spend much of my break with the gals :(

I am sitting here thinking, hhhhm now what am I going to do? Stalk BYC I guess

I also have a new book just released by my favourite 'fairly unknown but worthy of fame' author so I might just grab a coffee, settle into the recliner and have a real day off with my Kindle :)

Have fun, stay safe and happy chickens

From my highly arrogant American point of view, I don't care what the person's occupation is - the virus doesn't either. I still do not think there was any valid reason to bring patients to the US for treatment.

What I was noting is the use of adjectives in the one news story, designed to make people feel warm and fuzzy about bringing one of the "right" folks to the US for treatment.
In case you weren't reading what I actually wrote, you might have noticed my rather uncomplimentary remarks about the US government supplying an experimental treatment for Americans and Europeans and NOT for Africans. Which is why I always suggest that Americans in love with socialistic notions re-read Orwell's "Animal Farm" - where it is pointed out that despite the claims of equality, some animals were more equal than others.

Does anyone not think that some people are more equal than others in the US. The most unequal are the working poor and the middle class.

This jelly talk reminds me.

We had an argument with my sister over whether it's peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and jam. Which do you guys use?

It's called peanut butter and jelly.
There is even a song about it.
And Family Guy says so too.

You may be right...you know those Canadians.
Now I think it's time for little Felixes to crawl to bed again. Everyone have a good night, morning, evening, noon or whatever else the times is around where you're at.

Thought you were talking about your children. Which was a weird feeling, knowing that you don't have any kids.

I think that's the point.

Interesting thing I found in one of the obscure notepads in my phone (technology, when the phones do more than you need them to)
Not sure who wrote it, so I'll just say by Anonymous? And for some reason, it's the last part of a sentence? Whatever...here it is.
[...] emphasis on the consequences of not only physical but also mental behaviors. One's unconquered mind with anger, pride (ego), deceit, greed and uncontrolled sense organs are the powerful enemies of humans. Anger spoils good relations, pride destroys humility, deceit destroys peace and greed destroys everything.

Did MacGyver usually use duct tape? I don't remember that, though it's been a while since I've watched the show. I saw a rerun a couple of months ago, and that show has not aged well.

What I love is going back and watching old Miami Vice episodes. Besides the bad acting they're acting all hep with their giant brick-like cell phones....and the clothes. OMG. What was all cool is now SO dorky.
