The Old Folks Home

Well, the evening didn't start so well. I went down earlier, cleared the sauna, did some laundry, came back up... an hour later, we wen't down, intending to enjoy the lovely heat, and wondered why it's so cold. Then I realized, I never turned the darn thing on. Well, we just took a shower, and came up to begin cooking, and I noticed that the guy at the store didn't punch any holes in the package with the vongole. Now they've all died. Luckily I also forgot to put the rest of the shrimp in the freezer, so those will compensate. I wonder what more will go wrong tonight.
Maybe the pizza was a good idea?

When my DD (now 27) said something that lacked intelligence, I would smile adoringly at her and say, "You're so pretty."

Really old age will be fun.

When my DD (now approaching 47)

said something particularly obnoxious (must have gotten that trait from the Princess) I would smile and lovingly say, "Oh, I hope that you are lucky enough to have a daughter just like you." Frankly I wished more on her than she deserved - my grand daughter ---------------------------

I shall save this meal still. The mussels were alive (barely) and we've got king prawn and shrimp too. And fresh herbs from the garden, some nice white wine, a bit of chili, yellow tomatoes, shallots, and Mutti tomato pulp. Oh, and fresh whole grain tagliatelle.

I wouldn't mind the reproduction practice, as long as it stays as practice.
