The Old Folks Home

There were several memorable occasions when I was able to use that. The best one was when she was 15. Her best friend's mother died in a wreck, and she had to go live with her father. The friend did not want to live with him and claimed they couldn't get along. DD and I were talking about it and I had asked lots of questions. Was he remarried? Were there step-siblings? Where did he work? What kind of home did he live in? Did he go to church? She answered all of these questions well until I asked what denomination he was. She looked surprised and said, "Oh, he got full custody!"

My mother loved to travel the south when I was a kid. She once bought a book of southern humor and I still remember one of the jokes.
A social worker visited a sharecroppers home. She asked the elderly man, "Do you have any stocks or bonds and if so, what are their denominations?"
He said, "I have some chickens, a team of horses, a cow and my barn is in fair shape. I don't know if they have any denominations but if they do, I'm sure they're Baptist."

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure that's what it means!

I am with you Sour, I figure I have a lot left to learn so I go out to learn it. I want to learn things my whole life.
Every year I can remember, I thought "I'm so smart" and then each year I learn so much I didn't know before.

don't think of it that way, think of it more like "what other opportunities will I have to prove to Karin how awesome I am by not getting flustered that things didn't go to my own plan"
It's better to just submit to it than get angry lol

You have such a great attitude and thought process.

It's pine shavings. I start them on paper towels and sprinkle feed on the towels till they know what food is and then move them to shavings.

I think there are 44 chicks in that picture. Every once in a while one escapes into an adjacent stall with older birds.

They range from 2 days to one month.

The end result:
Beautiful

My wife does the most awesome angel hair and seafood pasta.

It was so good that when I lived in Costa Rica, I prepared it for my hosts and all of our friends.
It was good but I overcooked the pasta a bit. Very disappointing to me. After the fact, my wife told me to cook it al dente and after everything else is done, run hot water over the angel hair and add the seafood or veggies.

Wife and I are going to the Tree House vegetarian restaurant for our son to cook for us. I'll let you know what we had. The owner is a Vietnamese vegan. Her brother and father own their respective Vietnamese restaurants on the same street.

I didn't like mussels or snails as a kid, but I've since come to my senses. I have to say, the pasta was a bit healthy tasting though. I won't buy that brand again, it looked good, but it wasn't.
